Engineered Maple Prefinished Hardwood Flooring is a custom order. The colors ranges from a darker reddish-brown to brown or nearly white to an off-white cream color, with a wear layer of 5.25mm thickness. The substrate is a cross-grained, 11-ply Baltic Birch plywood, which is adhered to the wood veneer with a hot melt, urethane adhesive.
APPEARANCE/COLOR: The heartwood can be darker reddish-brown to brown. The sapwood ranges from nearly white to an off-white cream color. The sapwood more commonly is used than the heartwood. All types of maple can have a broad range in color variation.
CLEAR GRADING RULES: Natural sapwood color variation. Will admit the following: Occasional pin knots (1/8’’ in diameter) small burls, streaks.

CHARACTER GRADING RULES: Distinct natural variations in heartwood and sapwood coloration, along with varying natural wood characters and sound knots. Will admit the following: Open knots and open characters (up to ½’’ diameter that are fillable) worm holes, checks, streaks. Unlimited heartwood/sapwood.
