APPEARANCE/COLOR: Heartwood is light biscuit – to medium – brown with a reddish to pinkish cast. White to light brown sapwood isn’t always sharply demarcated from the heartwood. Red oak can have a broad range in color variation.
CLEAR GRADING RULES: Natural heartwood color variations and a small amount of sapwood, along with some allowable natural wood characters. Will admit the following: Occasional, pin knots (1/8’’ in diameter), small burls, streaks.

Will admit the following: Open knots and open characters (holes up to ½’’ diameter that are fillable), worm holes, checks, streaks. Unlimited heartwood/sapwood.
