Engineered Walnut Hardwood Flooring ranges from light greyish-brown to dark chocolate-brown or even purplish-black, with our wear layer of 5.25mm thickness. The substrate is a cross-grained, 11-ply Baltic Birch plywood, which is adhered to the wood veneer with a hot melt, urethane adhesive.
APPEARANCE/COLOR: The heartwood ranges from light greyish-brown to dark chocolate-brown or even purplish-black. The nearly white to yellowish-grey or tan sapwood clearly is demarcated from the heartwood.
CLEAR GRADING RULES: Natural heartwood color variations and a small amount of sapwood, along with some allowable natural wood characters. Will admit the following: Pin knots (1/4’’ in diameter), small burls, streaks.

CHARACTER GRADING RULES: Prominent natural color variations between the light colored sapwood and the dark heartwood along with varying natural wood characters and sound knots. Will admit the following: Open knots and open characters (holes up to ½’’ in diameter that are fillable), worm holes, checks, streaks, pith. Limited sapwood.
